I know-I know…you are thinking …what the heck is that ?
Well any rancher or farmer or people who live in rural parts of the country know this is a “cattle guard”.
What it does is stops the open range cattle or horses or other livestock from crossing over it and onto the highways or other roads.
Animals are unable to walk over these.
They are made of heavy tubular shaped steel pipe.
I heard a story about how our federal government was subsidising the payroll expenses to to States which have “cattle guards” on the Federal Highways! !!
I wonder……? ?

Hi Rick …yep- stock gaps make sense too…if I find out that cattle guards are on the “payroll” I ‘m gonna try to get mine on a workman’s compensation claim….it is old and sway backed…it is looking shabby…it ‘s support system is wiped out and it is about ready to have a breakdown!
