Good Fences

Here, at Sheananigansfarm it is very rare to see “human” neighbors!
We live in rural Culberson County, Texas.
The nearest town is a ghost town- Lobo,Texas.

We tend to talk to our critters!

And wonder how one flip- flop ended up in your field.

We are mostly inclined and bonded to Nature…..

How beautiful the Mesquite Tree grows!  Those red pods can be eaten…and ground into flour.

image

The Yucca blossoms are sweet and can be eaten also….you do have to be quick about it….those critters love them too!

The Ink Top mushrooms pop out of the ground after a good summer rain….

image

Hawks are expert hunters…wonderful to watch them floating on the wind.

image

Cotton escapes from it’s field – it is adventerous….

image

Watch were we step …Cactus and Rattlers are around.

image

Donkeys do talk to each other!

image

The best “watch horse” around!

Oh! The sunrises! !

It just doesn’t get better than Texas!!

    • Hello…Someone bought the ghost town- a fence is all around it.I have contacted the owner who has given me permission to photograph …when he gets out here…he will let me inside the old buildings!!
It has a neat history and Ican’t wait to do the story! He has posted photos on the web…google Lobo,Texas… . Betty-Shea.
